The house long remained one man’s affair, and it shows. A chemist by training, a perfumer without a school, Andy Tauer set up his atelier in Zurich in 2005 and still makes his fragrances there in small batches, hand labelled on site. That scale changes the writing: the compositions are concentrated, held, built around a memory or a precise landscape rather than an olfactory family. The cubic bottle with its silver cap and the blue star signal the house from a distance.
