“True luxury should last forever”: the principle was set at the opening, in 2007, and has not moved — every bottle in the house refills. Its founder is heir to a line of cognac makers; he grew up in the family cellars of south-west France, whose evaporation carries a name distillers know well: the angels’ share. That childhood memory — sugar, alcohol, wood — runs through the collection, now arranged in five families, from the freshest to the most liqueur-like.
