FOMOWA: when pastry meets fine fragrance
Share
FOMOWA builds perfumes from desserts. Not gourmand accords in general — precise pastries, named and recognisable: an Akatsuki peach, a Bronte pistachio, a pannacotta. The house tells of being born from three brothers brought together by one taste for fine perfumery and for the table.
Five desserts, three perfumers
The five extraits carried by PlanèteBeauty are signed by three noses: Camille Leguay composed three of them, Sarah Burri and Veronika Csatlovszky one each. All are extraits de parfum, in 100 ml.
Akatsuki Melba
A Japanese Akatsuki peach on top, raspberry at the heart, a salted caramel in the base, with Tahitian vanilla and osmanthus. It is Escoffier's peach Melba, read anew. Composed by Camille Leguay, 2024.

Red Keela Split
The most tenacious of the collection. Italian lemon, strawberry, then Bronte pistachio held up by whipped cream, vanilla and caramel. Camille Leguay, 2024.

Pannaco Tahaa
A Mahachanok mango, a pannacotta, vanilla from Taha'a — hence the name. Saffron and benzoin keep the dessert from staying sweet. Sarah Burri, 2024.

Moonwalk Seacoco
The most sunlit. Sugarloaf pineapple and Sicilian lemon, coco de mer at the heart, vanilla and whipped cream in the base, lifted by passion fruit. Veronika Csatlovszky, 2025.

Vanille des Rois
The most ambery of the five, and the one that lasts longest. Bitter orange on top, orange blossom at the heart, vanilla absolute in the base, with praline, cinnamon and tonka bean. Camille Leguay, 2025.

Gourmand does not mean sweet
It is the most common misunderstanding about this family. A gourmand perfume borrows a material from dessert — vanilla, caramel, pistachio — but writes it with the tools of perfumery: a woody base, a bitterness, a salty note that cuts the sugar. At FOMOWA, the saffron of Pannaco Tahaa and the salted caramel of Akatsuki Melba play exactly that part.
Four of the five are classed in the gourmand family on our product pages; Vanille des Rois adds ambery and floral to it, and Red Keela Split adds woody. To place this family among the others, our guide to olfactory families sets it against the other eight.
