1889 Moulin Rouge is the year the cabaret opened at the foot of the butte, and this perfume keeps the dressing room rather than the stage. Tangerine and plum snap like an overturned coupe, cinnamon warms, then absinthe and Damask rose set the intoxication. Underneath, a powdery iris meets patchouli and a fur note — rice powder, feathers, the warmth of bodies just after the curtain.
