Description

After Love is a 1960s Serge Gainsbourg song filtered through 1980s synth pop sensibilities: candied lemon musks and animal notes suspended in a haze of modern woody ambergris chemicals. It smells of human skin after making love – erotically charged, moist, musky – but thanks to a mesh of powerfully dry smoky woods and electric ambers, beamed at high volume to the rest of the world.

It is this constant change of perfume from the intimate to the radiant and back to the intimate that makes Après l'Amour work. It seems to come with its own atmosphere - a crackle of electricity in the air; the roar of a coming storm. Quite modern, even a little cheeky, it's one of those my-skin-but-better scents that sends a subliminal message of attractiveness without you really knowing why or how.
